Abstract

|
The albino BALB/c mouse is one of the most useful animal for the studies of immunology, cancer, behavior, infections, and spontaneous diseases. We monitored the changes, with age, of weights (body and various organs), physiological and biochemical parameters (hematology, serum biochemistry, urine analysis and reproductive performance) in Ktc : BALB/c which was provided from Charles River Japan (BALB/cAnNCrj). According to the results, body weight of Ktc: BALB/c was within normal growth curve range. The Ktc : BALB/c showed normal in organ weight (liver, kidney, heart, lung etc), hematology (RBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit), and biochemistry (AST, ALP, GLU, TP, PL, Na^+, TG). These findings suggest that the animals in our breeding colony are in good health and these data will serve as the basic information of Ktc : BALB/c mice.
